Ein CD newydd sydd wedi ei lansio ar 19 Chwefror 2012

Dyma ein cyflwyniad cerddorol diweddaraf. Bu’r broses o’i greu yn ddiddorol ac unigryw yn hanes y côr. Dyma daith gerddorol o Glwb Criced a Bowlio Bethesda i stiwdio fyd enwog y BBC yn Maida Vale, Llundain. Dyma arlwy o’r traddodiadol i’r cyfoes, o’r crefyddol i’r gwerin, o dreftadaeth a diwylliant y capel Cymreig i ysblander brodorol De Affrica.
Dyma gymharu’r baróc Ewropeaidd gyda rhythmau grymus y gân ysbrydol Negroaidd. Dyma gyfuno sŵn melfedaidd a chysurus Y Gymraeg gydag urddas yr hen Ladin.
Mae’r recordiad hwn wedi amlygu gwthio pendant ar ein ffiniau cerddorol a chredwn y bydd yn diffinio’r côr am y blynyddoedd nesaf. Yn ysbryd un o brif ganeuon y CD, Pererin Wyf, gobeithiwn yn fawr y byddwch yn mwynhau’r Anthem ddyddiau’ch oes.

Our new CD, launched on the 19th February 2012

Here is our latest musical presentation. The process of creating it has been interesting and unique in the choir’s history. It’s a musical journey from the Bethesda Cricket and Bowling Club to the world famous BBC studio in Maida Vale, London. It’s an offering from the traditional to the modern, from religious to folk music, from the heritage and culture of the Welsh chapel to the native splendour of South Africa. It compares the European baroque with the powerful rhythms of the Negro spiritual.
It combines the velvet, soothing sound of the Welsh language with the dignity of the old Latin.
This recording has resulted in a definite challenge to our musical boundaries and we believe that it will define the choir for the next few years. In the spirit of one of the CD’s main songs, Pererin Wyf, we hope you enjoy the Anthem for years to come.
